Starting backfilling and deroofing

I decided to move one of the pipes for the downspout to be for the balcony since I didn't need it over there anymore.

Now more backfilling, at least I can do most of it with the skid steer.

Naturally, it had to rain and fill up that hole with water while the form was still on, at least it was already set so it didn't cause any cure problems.

Might as well get the first post up.

Need to get that old roof off too.

The framing in there is really weird, you would think that those joist looking parts that are flat were coming out from the floor or something, but no, they were just nailed on.  No idea what the thought process of this was, but now seeing this it's not surprising that it felt spongy, so I'm glad I'm removing it.
Way more nails than is useful seems to be a recurring theme...but here it makes even less sense since every hole in the flashing is an opportunity for a leak.

Removed the form on the last footing, at least this one is nice and straight.
